3. Children's Privacy
Curiolea programs are intended for children ages 5–12, but registration and the submission of personal information about a child must be completed by a parent/legal guardian or another person legally authorized to register the child.
Children should not independently submit personal information through the Curiolea website.
Because information concerning children can be sensitive, Curiolea takes reasonable steps to limit its collection and use to information relevant to registration, safety, communication and program participation.
Parents/guardians may contact Curiolea to request access to or correction of their child's personal information, subject to applicable legal requirements.

5. Photography & Media
Curiolea may occasionally photograph or record program activities, participants and children's creative work.
Identifiable photographs or recordings of a child will only be used for Curiolea promotional, website or social-media purposes where the parent/guardian has provided the applicable media permission.
Media permission is optional and is not a condition of participating in Curiolea.
A parent/guardian may withdraw future media permission by contacting Curiolea. Withdrawal will apply to future use where reasonably practicable and may not require Curiolea to recall or remove materials that were lawfully produced or distributed before consent was withdrawn.
6. How We Share Information
Curiolea does not sell or rent children's or families' personal information.
Personal information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to:
- service providers that support our website, registration, communications, payment processing or business operations;

7. Wix & Third-Party Services
The Curiolea website is hosted using the Wix.com platform. Wix provides website hosting, forms and other technologies that enable Curiolea to provide its online services.
Information submitted through the Curiolea website may therefore be processed or stored using Wix systems and services.
Curiolea may also use third-party providers for services such as payment processing, email communications or website functionality. Those providers may process information necessary to provide their services.
Their handling of information may also be governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.
8. Payments
Where online payments are offered, payment transactions may be processed through Wix or another third-party payment processor.
Curiolea does not intend to independently collect or store complete payment-card information where payment information is processed directly by an authorized payment provider.
Payment processors may collect and process information necessary to complete the transaction in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.
9. Cookies & Website Technologies
Our Wix website may use cookies and similar technologies that help the website function, maintain security, remember preferences and understand website performance and usage.
Some cookies are essential to website operation. Other cookies or technologies may be used for analytics or other non-essential purposes depending on the services enabled on our website.
Where required or appropriate, visitors may be given choices regarding non-essential cookies through the website's cookie settings or consent banner.
Visitors can also manage cookies through their browser settings, although disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.
10. How We Protect Information
Curiolea takes reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
These measures may include:
- restricting access to personal information;
- using password-protected accounts and systems;
- using reputable website and payment service providers;
- limiting access to children's health and safety information to those who reasonably require it; and
- securely disposing of information when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to applicable legal and business record-retention requirements.
No website, electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. How Long We Keep Information
Curiolea retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, insurance, dispute-resolution and business requirements.
Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, Curiolea will take reasonable steps to securely delete, destroy or anonymize it, as appropriate.

Where Curiolea relies on consent, a parent/guardian may withdraw consent to certain uses of personal information by contacting us, subject to reasonable notice and applicable legal or contractual restrictions.
Some information is necessary to safely and effectively administer a child's participation. If consent to the collection or use of information that is reasonably necessary for registration, safety, emergency response or program administration is withdrawn, Curiolea may be unable to continue providing the applicable service or program.
Optional consent, such as photography and promotional media permission, is not required for a child to participate.

Where Curiolea sends promotional or marketing communications, appropriate consent and unsubscribe options will be provided where required.
15. PDSB Property
Curiolea programming may operate on Peel District School Board ("PDSB") property under applicable facility-use arrangements.
Curiolea is independently operated. Information collected directly by Curiolea through its website or registration process is managed by Curiolea in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Curiolea's use of PDSB facilities does not, by itself, mean that personal information submitted to Curiolea is being submitted to or collected by PDSB.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Curiolea may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our programs, website, technology, service providers, practices or applicable requirements.
The current version will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Where a change materially affects how previously collected personal information will be used or disclosed, Curiolea will take appropriate steps regarding notice or consent where required.
